Steve Husband to manage new venture

Hollister Whitney Elevator and GAL Manufacturing, the elevator industry's Team Of Excellence, has announced that Steve Husband has come on board and will head up a new combined effort in Canada.

Husband spent the last 5 years as Branch Operations Manager for Adams Elevator Equipment Company. In this capacity, he has been in charge of branches in Toronto, Los Angeles, and New York. Steve is the Supplier Chairman on CECA's Board, and an alternate on the Board of Regents of the EESF.

The new Canadian business will be called GAL Canada Elevator Products Corp. A sales and distribution facility will be established in the outskirts of Toronto. Husband, whose title is General Manager, Canada, will oversee the start up and operations.

Walter Glaser of GAL said: "Through GAL Canada, we will be able to provide a higher level of service to our Canadian customers, and Steve Husband is exactly the right guy to represent the two companies' in Canada." Frank Musholt from Hollister added: "Once we have our new business firmly established, Canadian elevator contractors will enjoy much easier access to the best products available".

Plans are to have the doors open with initial inventory by the first of the year. From that point, GAL Canada will gradually increase its products and services until it becomes the most complete supplier to the Canadian contractor.
