GAL Provides Product Training
As part of our recent expansion, we added a nice training facility and would now like to have our customers take advantage of it.
GAL is starting to fill up class room sessions to cover various GAL and Hollister Whitney products. Class times will get set in concrete based on demand.
They will be held during the day and will include some food and refreshment.

GAL PRICE INCREASE AS OF 05/01/08
Effective on all orders received after close of business on April 30th, 2008, GAL Manufacturing Corporation will implement a price increase. It has been well over four years
since we last adjusted our prices, and although we have been very effective at keeping production costs down, we can no longer absorb the ever increasing cost of material.

Brennor to retire from GAL
GAL Manufacturing has announced that Florence Brennor, will retire as of Nov 1st, 2008. Referred to by all as simply Flo. Brennor has been an integral part of GAL for 55 years.
She is known and loved by customers and co-workers alike. Herb and Walter Glaser issued a joint statement lauding Flo's incredible lifetime contribution, and referring to Flo
as "The heart of GAL".

Sending the right SIGNAL Fixture
GAL has just completed an expansion in our Fixtures Department. We are looking for new business to fill our expanded schedules.

With the cost of a detector edge very near the combination of
mechanical edge and photo eye, GAL will quit taking orders on September 1. GAL Manufacturing Corp. of Bronx, NY has acquired
Elevator Components Inc (ECI) of Mississauga Ontario.
GAL and ECI are both prominent manufacturers of passenger
elevator door equipment. GAL has begun production of the new LWZ 2 Clutch and Zone Locking Device.
The new design is reverse compatible with the venerable LWZ 1, which has been in production for many years.
GAL has made the decision to limit the variety of Door Protection offered, and announces new low pricing on Formula Systems and Tri-Tronics door protection. GAL has been developing an enhanced model of the venerable MOVFR Door Operator.
Designs are done, in-house testing is complete, and field trials are showing very positive results.
GAL plans to put the new model MOVFR into full production beginning August 1st, 2005. GAL will have all the latest products on display. Come see us in Toronto in September.

January 21, 2005 in Mobile, Al. Prior to meeting with the industry, the Board
of Regents and their available alternates convened with EESF staff for a one-day
meeting on January 20. It's exciting for us to announce the opening of GAL Canada,
and a new effort to give our Canadian customers the very best
products and service. There are high hopes all around for the
future of what began on Feb 22nd 2005. September 26 - 29, 2005 four national elevator organizations will partner in
Toronto, Canada for the first jointly sponsored convention of its kind. This program
will be a focal point for the North American elevator industry next year, and the
global elevator community will be invited to participate. GAL Elevator Products, Canada is close to opening its doors.
Steve Husband, General Manager, Canada, has been working overtime to get the new facility ready for Canadian customers.
ASME A 17.1 - 2004 makes substantial changes to the requirements for Car Operating Panels.
It requires that all of the firefighters controls used on PHASE II be placed behind a locked
cover at the top of the COP. We are proud to present the launch of the new GAL website. More
